Love from The Great Minnesota Get-Together

September 4, 2016 Annie D'Souza
Minnesota State Fair via The Midwestival

Today we ate the cheese curds. Also, the corn dogs and the fried pickles. And we drank the best damned root beer in all the land (1919, duh).

We saw the butter sculptures. We saw a life-size Paul Bunyan and a 3-year-old who is a more coordinated dancer than I am. We learned how a ShamWow works and then put on virtual reality goggles that made us feel like we were swimming with manatees.

We ate the cheese curds a second time.

But most importantly, we saw a lamb who was literally born yesterday.

(Oh, and we also made this tiny little video below — it's like a Snapchat for the blog.)

This is the magic of the Minnesota State Fair.

P.S. Happy Labor Day weekend, everybody! Hope you are doing something that requires no labor at all.
